So, just who is Bill?

Never heard of the guy, who is he and where did he come from? Let's try to answer those questions. First he is a resident of Hillsboro, Wisconsin for the last forty some years. He was born and grew to manhood in rural southern Michigan. After graduating from high school in 1949, he enlisted in the Air Force, shortly after the Korean War started in 1950. After radar school he applied for aviation cadet training, was accepted and graduated with his pilot rating and commission as a 2/ Lt. in September 1954. In December he married Margaret M. Cobb, the English teacher at his old high school. They now have three daughters, eleven grandchildren, and five great grandchildren, more on the way, Maggie look what you started!

While in the Air Force he served his first commissioned tour as an instructor pilot, then with his electronics background went into the nuclear weapons field, where he spent the last four years as a platform instructor and technical writer at the Strategic Air Command Nuclear Weapons School.

By 1965 it was very clear that the Viet Nam war was never meant to be won. One, no win war (Korea) is enough for one life time. So after fifteen years he resigned his commission and went to American Airlines, where he spent the next twenty one years. Always with an eye on politics, but never with a realistic chance to get involved, always too far out in right field.

So where does that put him today? Has he gone senile and begun dreaming of grandeur? Well, let's take a look.

Why he's running for Congress

Mr. Obama has said that this election may be the most important election of a lifetime. Now, that could be the under statement of this whole campaign. Let us take a look at just what is at stake here.

For almost two hundred and fifty years this country with its freedom for the individual has been the jewel of mankind's governments. Our freedom has led to the highest standard of living the world has ever known, and not just for us but it has served to point the way for others as well. It has also led to great envy and jealousy on the part of others. In the later years of the eighteenth century, in Europe they were holding meetings to try to determine ways of bringing this country down. They were acknowledging that unless something could be done about us, with our individual freedom, little taxation and vast opportunities to pursue our dreams, soon the best brains in the world would be on the North American Continent. The opportunity to do something about us came with the election of Woodrow Wilson in 1912, and the Federal Reserve Act. The Federal Reserve is a privately owned, stock held, for profit bank, though most people don't know it. It is no part of the Federal Government, we can thank our government school system for this lack of knowledge. This gave five European banking families and three American banking families control of our currency and with it the wealth of our nation. To let a group of foreign bankers take control of our money indicates a complacent or stupid group of people. It also would appear that it is unconstitutional, as the constitution leaves responsibility for our money in the hands of the house of representatives.

Perhaps it is time to stop and see just how did we come to this government in the first place. Our government is the product of our culture and we get our culture from Western Europe where their beliefs and values for over four thousand years have been based on the Holy Bible. This is where we get our foundation, and if we leave our foundation we will surely lose our freedom, our prosperity, and our way of life. A culture, like a building without a solid foundation will soon collapse. Our early generations with their faith in the Holy Scriptures and their work ethic scaled the heights and gave us our constitution with its many blessings. It, apart from all other governments, does not confer absolute power to the government, it recognizes a higher power, God! While recognizing that government is put over us by the Lord, and that we are to be subject to its laws, nevertheless as Paul, the apostle, makes clear, when man-made laws conflict with God's laws we are to obey God. God says, do no murder. Man says, you can kill a baby before it takes a breath. God says, one who deliberately slays an innocent person is a murderer and his life shall be required, lest the land be polluted by the blood of the innocent. Man says that two men or two women can live together as through they were man and woman. This is a deliberate rejection of God's word and we readily see the result of such actions, in the manner in which it brings about disease, unhappiness, and instability in society. Additionally, God says those who do such things will spend an eternity in Hell. Not a very nice place to spend a very long time. Our founders living by the standards and values of the Holy Scriptures scaled the heights, we, having forsaken our moorings, are riding a bobsled on the backside of the mountain headed straight to the bottom of the gutter.

President Obama says this may be the election of a lifetime. From here it looks as though it may be the election which will bing about the end of the United States of America as we know it. Those are strong words; can they be backed up? Let us take a look at our situation.
